Introduction

StyleBound.gg lets World of Warcraft players share and discover transmog outfits. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

When you browse the public site, we may receive basic technical information such as IP address, browser, device, pages viewed, request logs, and approximate location derived from network data.

When you sign in, authentication is handled through Battle.net and Supabase. We store the account details needed to operate your StyleBound account, such as your user ID, BattleTag-style display name, profile metadata, and supporter/admin status where applicable.

When you submit content, we store the outfit information you provide, including names, descriptions, screenshots, item/export data, tags, character race, class, sex, faction, likes, votes, reports, and moderation records.

2. How we use information

We use information to run the site, keep users signed in, display and moderate outfits, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, measure performance, improve the product, process support requests, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Cookies, analytics, and ads

Some cookies and similar technologies are necessary for sign-in, security, fraud prevention, and core site functionality. We also use Sentry for error reporting and performance monitoring.

StyleBound may show passive advertising to non-supporters when an approved provider is enabled. Accepting optional cookies allows our configured analytics and advertising services to use the optional signals described by the cookie settings. Declining optional cookies does not necessarily remove contextual advertising, but it limits optional measurement and personalization signals where our consent setup allows.

StyleBound also displays clearly labeled retail affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you choose one of those links and make a qualifying purchase. Retail links are optional, open the named merchant in a new tab, and never grant Supporter time. To keep an offer stable during a browsing session and avoid duplicate measurement, we use an opaque session cookie and page-view identifiers. The assignment does not contain an affiliate URL, StyleBound account ID, IP address, or user-agent value. The merchant receives information from your browser only when you choose to open its external link, subject to that merchant's own privacy policy.

You can reset your choice from the Cookie Settings link in the footer. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Google explains how it uses information from sites and apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

4. Service providers and sharing

We use service providers to host, store, secure, monitor, and operate StyleBound. These may include Supabase, Vercel, Cloudflare, Sentry, Google, Microsoft Clarity, Stripe, Resend, and storage or email providers used by the site. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users, to prevent abuse, or in connection with a business transfer.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep account and content data as long as needed to operate the site, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain backups. You can delete your own outfits where the product allows it or request help through the feedback form.

6. Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, or restriction of your personal information. Use the feedback form to make a request. We may need to verify your account before acting on certain requests.

7. Children

StyleBound is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Contact

Questions or privacy requests: use the feedback form.

We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in, including Supabase session cookies when you log in with Battle.net; reliability, including Sentry error and performance data; and ads for non-supporters, plus optional analytics and ad personalization signals through Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager when configured, Microsoft Clarity, and the selected advertising provider when ads are enabled.

Supporters do not see ads. For everyone else, Decline does not turn ads off; it tells our advertising and analytics services not to use optional storage, user-data, personalization, or analytics signals where our consent setup allows. Accept turns those optional signals and Clarity on. See the Privacy Policy.
